My goal is to support others in achieving a higher quality of life, where they feel confident, productive, and resilient in both their personal and professional lives.
My Story
John Hanley brings over 29 years of martial arts experience to his work as a Master Level Instructor with the Body Mind Systems Martial Arts organization. He is the owner of multiple martial arts locations in Denver, CO, and also consults with schools in New England, Oregon, and Texas.

As a self-defense instructor, John specializes in teaching safety, awareness, and self-defense skills to both children and adults. He has worked with individuals as well as small and large businesses. Additionally, he is a certified SABRE Civilian Safety Awareness Program Instructor and a College Safety Awareness Program Instructor, where he focuses on pepper spray and street awareness training.

John holds a Level 5 Instructor certification with the Self Defense Company and has extensive training in firearms and situational awareness tactics. He has received instruction from the prestigious Sig Sauer Academy in New Hampshire, as well as other respected firearms and tactics instructors across the country.
Throughout his career, John has had the privilege of teaching thousands of students nationwide, including business organizations in New England and Colorado. Some of the notable organizations he has worked with include Jefferson County Human Resources Department, Jeppesen Boeing, South Metro Chamber of Commerce, Tri-County Health Department, Boy Scouts of America, Littleton Public Schools, and many others.
John is also a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and has performed across the country in various bands, playing a diverse range of genres, including rock, reggae, funk, soukous, zouk, rumba, and blues.
